These are the scales I use to indicate training on my horses' references.

Training
The training scales indicate whether or not a horse has completed basic training in the item.
It does not indicate proficiency or skill level, simply that a rider of the skill level indicated under "suitability" (see below) could get the horse to perform.
Can be thought of as having basic "90 days" type training.

:bulletgreen: trained
:bulletyellow: training in progress
:bulletred: no training

Groundwork
Under Saddle -- indicates whether a horse has been backed
Walk
Trot
Canter
O/F
---> O/F to be followed by schooling height and whether horse is schooling singles, lines, or courses.
Training is considered in progress for O/F if horse is not schooling courses.
---> Additional items may be added depending on the horse, such as Driving, Wargames, etc.
---> O/F may be omitted for horses not intended for jumping.

Experience
The experience scales indicate whether or not the horse has been ridden in each setting.

:bulletgreen: experienced (more than 2 show classes)
:bulletyellow: some experience
:bulletred: no experience

Indoor/Outdoor
Trail
Hunt
Show
---> The hunt item is followed by the highest level the horse has hunted (First, Second, or Third Flight). Green indicates a horse has an image of it hunting at a level. Yellow means it does not have an image.*
--->The show item is followed by the highest level the horse has shown, if applicable.

Suitability
The suitability item indicates suggested rider level for the horse at the highest level of the horse's training.
In other words, a horse with a red bullet may be calm enough to take a beginner around walk/trot, but would need a professional rider to compete in level 6 jumpers.

:bulletgreen: beginner - advanced beginner
:bulletyellow: intermediate
:bulletorange: advanced (or intermediate in lesson setting)
:bulletred: professional/trainer
:bulletblack: not trained u/s

*For all items that require images, not all images may be on DA currently.
